The house was like something out of a dream. Jo's cooking, oh, you have to try it!

It's not exactly inexpensive, but for what you get, it's worth it.

Spotlessly clean and absolutely gorgeous room with exceptionally comfortable bed and hypoallergenic pillows and down pillows. Beautiful views of garden, incredibly attentive and very very helpful staff...

The staff was attentive and great and the owner too. Room was spotlessly clean and lovely, with an amazing bathroom.

The honesty bar is a cool touch, and the picturesque gardens are perfect.

I loved my stay here! Enjoying some homemade granola for breakfast while taking in the lovely garden views was such a treat, and the hot showers were a huge plus after a long day exploring the area. The only downside was that the bed felt a bit too firm for my liking, but honestly, it didn't take away from the charm of the place. 😊

Great hotel with free Wi-Fi, a cozy bar lounge area, and beautiful outdoor dining. During my first stay, the staff kindly returned my forgotten earpods. Highly recommend bringing condiments! I'm coming back for a weekend.

Fine Dartmoor views

I had a great day out exploring the Dartmoor Artisan Trail. The local artists and craftspeople showcased some unique pieces. It was a nice way to spend some time away from the accommodations. Afterward, I enjoyed a relaxing evening in front of the fire. The host shared some valuable insights about the area.

There were limited evening menu options. The website didn't clearly state the current offerings, slightly confusing. It would have been good to have a few more wine choices available.

The environment was beautiful, and we loved the cool cozy window seat! The communal dining experience was a great way to meet others. Plus, exploring the fine grounds was a family highlight!

The spacious King Room with Garden View was a delight, and the breakfast featuring home-cooked sourdough bread was exceptional. the limited dining options could be improved, especially for those who prefer dining in-house in the evenings.

Fine house with amazing views

We rented the whole house for the weekend and had a blast! The size of the rooms was amazing, and we loved the comfy beds and en suites. The views were just wow, and the nice walks nearby were perfect for our group. One thing, though-don't forget to bring some condiments, as only salt and pepper were provided. Highly recommend it!

The King Room with Garden View was spacious and comfortable. The bed was huge with nice linens. Plus, the en suite bathroom was modern and really clean, a great touch. I loved all the quirky decor that gave it character. The only downside might be that the old building had a few steep stairs, which could be tricky if you're not steady on your feet. But overall, the room felt inviting and well-kept.
